In partnership with the Lynchburg Voters League and the Lynchburg Democratic Committee, ROSELs List is hosting a Virtual Town Hall with Jennifer Carroll Foy. As one of the first African-American women to graduate from Virginia Military Institute, a foster mom, a magistrate judge, and public defender, Jennifer Carroll Foy currently represents District 2 in Virginia’s House of Delegates. In April 2020, Foy filed paperwork to register a gubernatorial campaign committee to run for Governor of Virginia in 2021. If elected, Foy would be the first female governor in Virginia and the first black female governor in the U.S.
